Tenure: Freehold

With a character property offering such a large footprint, you’re never sure what to expect until you walk through the door. The space on offer here is very surprising and from the front, the property has a “cottage style” façade, but is actually a monster family house. Helped by its size, the layout could be orientated in a number of ways but essentially what you have here is spacious room after spacious room with enough accommodation for the biggest of families. You'll be pleased to hear the property has retained many of its original features; a good example of which being the three Victorian fireplaces upstairs and feature fireplace in the dining room. Being in such a sought after location offers close proximity to the local shop, post office, church, village hall and family pub, as well as a bus stop all within 30 seconds walking distance, (not to mention the wonderful rural walks that Maresfield offers,) you can really immerse yourself in the authentic village lifestyle. Also, the property is very close to a number of reputable primary schools and the stunning Ashdown Forest with it vast open spaces and picturesque views is merely a short drive away.

Another important feature of note has to be the superb southerly facing rear garden which benefits from being very private and secluded plus there is space in the layby directly opposite for cars to be parked regularly for peace of mind. Overall a very pleasantly surprising and unique proposition, viewing highly recommended!

What the Owner says:

We have lived at this property for 11 years and when we first arrived our two sons were living with us and so its been a great family home.

The garden has always been a great asset being southerly facing with sun all day. It's also private and has a lot of scope for keen gardeners.
It is with regret that we've decided it's now the right time to move. Our sons have left and have homes of their own so we don't need all the space it offers and are therefore down-sizing.
Our offspring live in the Tunbridge Wells area and have children so we'd really like to be closer to them. It's been a great home to live in and we'll be sad to see it go.
