*** VIRTUAL VIEWING TOUR *** Beautifully positioned farmhouse with wonderful views

West Foldhay is a beautifully positioned farmhouse set in just over 7 acres found on the edge of this pretty Mid-Devon village and enjoying wonderful views out over its own fields and woodland.

SITUATION : 8 miles to the West of Crediton with its vibrant selection of shops, café’s, restaurants, leisure centre/swimming pool and supermarkets with the cathedral city of Exeter a further 8 miles away.

The Farmhouse was built for the current owners in 1981 and comes to the market for the first time as the vendor approaches retirement. The three bedroom detached house faces south and enjoys two reception rooms, a kitchen and utility room, plus a downstairs WC. There is also an attached garage with ample parking in front. The house is subject to an agricultural occupancy clause (aoc) and hasn’t changed much in the last 35 years and so would be improved by some modernisation. The pretty gardens wrap around the farmhouse with areas of lawn, vegetable plots and numerous fruit trees growing.

Its church is old (understatement) (1235, late Saxon) and in its yard is a yew tree rumoured to have experienced a 1000 birthdays or more (not that anyone celebrates). The village is also known for having the most family friendly inn around, ‘The Waie Inn’ – offering great food & drink, both outdoor and indoor children’s play areas, a heated swimming pool, skittle alley, large function rooms (for weddings, parties etc), an astro turf pitch, squash courts, fishing lake and B&B rooms.
