Our Time Here - We've lived in this house for the past 15 years, and in this road for 22 years. We love Pierremont Avenue and wanted to stay here, so when this detached property with a garage came up for sale, we decided to move here. If we could have a smaller place on the same street, we would!
In the winter we make the most of the living room with its wood-burning stove, which creates a really cosy atmosphere. In the summertime we love to spend our time in the garden. Having the garage and ample off-road parking is especially useful during festival weeks and when there are any events in town. We have always enjoyed the fact that the house is close enough to walk but far enough away from any noise. Everything is around the corner yet it's surprisingly quiet at night. The garden is a good size, manageable but large enough to entertain in; we've had 60 people there before! We will always remember having these big barbecues around Folk Week, with family and friends coming to stay.
The location was really important for us, mainly as a great place to bring our son up. The schools in the area are fantastic, many within easy walking distance, while beach and the town are just a 5 minute stroll away. There is a nice park just a two minute walk away, offering a whole host of play possibilities; from hide and seek to football to using the playground equipment. We'll certainly miss the location as we love being so close to the sea and having everything within easy walking distance.
We are looking for a property in the same area, as we love being in Broadstairs. It's a great place to live and bring up children. It's so friendly here and there are lots of lovely walks in the area and many different options for eating out. You've got everything you need here, there's no need to go anywhere else!
