Full description

Tenure: Freehold

This rarely available character home would definitely appeal to a range of buyers and is a blank canvass waiting for someone with vision to improve and put their own stamp on. It has been a family home for many years but would make an ideal first home or a fabulous buy to let investment.

Situated along the much favoured Worthing Road it is within easy reach of Southwater village and Horsham town. There is a footpath a few yards away from the property that takes you through the beautiful countryside to the Bax Castle where you can enjoy a pub lunch before walking home.

The front porch allows space to remove coats and shoes before entering the lounge which has an open working fireplace and winter nights in will be lovely with a glass of mulled wine and a roaring fire. The dining room will be just perfect when you have guests round for dinner and you can chat to them from the adjacent kitchen whilst showing off your cookery skills.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms and the second bedroom has a staircase leading up to the bonus loft room which enjoys fabulous views of open fields.

The rear garden is a bit unusual as you have to walk along a very short path to get to it but when you do you will be amazed by the size and privacy making it ideal for when children play and summer BBQ's watching the cows in the fields.

What the Owner says:

I lived in London then moved to Worthing and decided that the commute to work was too much as I work in London so I decided to move closer to the Horsham area. I drove into Southwater village and it felt like the perfect environment to raise my two girls. When I viewed this property I loved the idea of an open fire and how cosy it felt and having the bonus loft room was ideal. The garden is secluded and enjoys views over open fields and I could see us all being very happy here. 26 years on my girls have moved out and I am looking to retire so need a smaller property now. I will be sad to leave as the neighbours have been great.
