The Story

The beautiful country house is surrounded by picturesque countryside and has been extensively renovated and re-modelled to a very high specification by its current owners to become the magnificent home it is today.
“We bought Cherry Orchard Farm in 1979 when it was a Liberty farmhouse, dating back to 1900.” The house offers privacy and tranquillity in a country village setting, yet is not in the least remote. It also provides very easy access to London, giving us the best of all worlds.

IMPRESSIVE PROPERTY
In the 37 years the family have lived at Cherry Orchard Farm they have transformed the living space it offers and added substantial guest accommodation and leisure facilities.
To enter you go through the impressive front gates and clock tower into the courtyard.
“We have completely rebuilt the house, ensuring we have kept the same style but extending and converting some of the barns. A former barn is now our kitchen breakfast room, for example, and we have created two separate annexes.”

BRIGHT ROOMS
The whole property has been renovated and beautifully maintained over the years. Today it offers bright rooms that have been carefully decorated to present a mixture of the modern and traditional while also remaining comfortable and inviting.
The main house has a large hall, natural stone floor and cloakroom. The kitchen breakfast room with its own dining area and natural stone floor, marble worktops, and chilled wine store is at the centre of the house. It is a big country kitchen, with a vaulted ceiling, under floor heating and Miele appliances giving on to the main living areas to one side and into guest space on the other.

FAMILY CELEBRATIONS
Cherry Orchard Farm has been an exceptional family home. The antique panelled study opens with large double doors into the splendid drawing room with central fireplace, lantern roof and three sets of French windows on to the garden. “We have had so many wonderful Christmases here and in the summer we also always tend to have a houseful; we have celebrated practically every important family occasion here, from birthdays through to weddings.” On the first floor there are four bedrooms, including the impressive master suite, with its sizeable bathroom and dressing room. A second bedroom has an en suite bathroom and airing cupboard. There is also a family bathroom.

ANNEXE ACCOMMODATION
The third living area is a three roomed lateral building adjoining the other side of the courtyard. “We have had a lot of fun here over the years with our children and grandchildren.” Family members have also made the most of the sizeable games room, with its full-size snooker table. This room has very large sliding glam doors which open onto the pool terrace with heated pool, outdoor lighting and enclosed with a wall. This is located within one of the self-contained annexes and could be used as a bedroom or reception room. This annexe also has a kitchenette and shower room. The other annexe adjoins the kitchen but can be self-contained with doors to the front and back garden. Within the annexe there is a kitchen with Silestone tiles and worktops, Miele appliances and underfloor heating. The kitchen then leads on to a large bedroom and the living room with a wood burning stove.

PERFECT PLACE
Cherry Orchard Farm has been such a wonderful family home for many years. It enjoys proximity to the bustling centres of Amersham, Great Missenden, Berkhamsted and Beaconsfield, where there are Michelin star restaurants and an extensive ranges of shops. There is also easy access to the M40 and M25, and to overground and underground rail links. The area is known for its countryside and woodland walks. The Chiltern Hills offer many footpaths and bridleways; there are sports facilities, clubs and activities, and health centres, gyms and spas. There is so much to do in this area and yet you can also enjoy privacy and seclusion if you choose. “We have been very happy here and the house has been fantastic.”

Cherry Orchard Farm is set in four acres of land, with formal gardens and paddocks.
Inside the courtyard area there is a generous space for parking. The grounds include the swimming pool area, where there is room for sun loungers and an outside dining space.
Outbuildings include a garage; two large stores (one with cloakroom) and a large barn.
There is space to keep livestock and a horse or pony.
