On Your Doorstep:
Shanklin is the home of the 'Old Village' brimming with pubs, restaurants & boutique style shops, not forgetting the infamous Rock Shop. Take a wander through the exotic plants at the Chine ending at the beach. Along the seafront you will find many a place to dine, admiring the beautiful sea view as well as plenty of attractions for the children. Speaking of children there are two primary schools and a bus or train to the Secondary school in nearby Sandown. The quieter Hope beach commences the walk to neighbouring Sandown and the nearby train will also take you through to Ryde in around 20 minutes, although the open top buses allow for a different take on the Island views; just don't forget the camera.
