Ludlow and Leominster have train stations on the Manchester to Cardiff line and London is around three hours away via Newport. There are also direct trains from Hereford to London.

There are many golf courses in the area and for racing enthusiasts there are regular National Hunt meetings at Ludlow, Hereford and Worcester.
