Our Time Here - We were first attracted to this property as it was situated in the area that we had wanted to live in for some time. The location here is quiet and close to the countryside, yet also accessible. The house was new, modern and had all the facilities we needed at the time
Our favourite part of the property is probably the south facing garden, and also the large inglenook fireplace.
The house is just a ten minute walk from Sainsbury’s and B&Q, as well as the doctors, dentist and the railway station. There is also a primary school about one mile away and two play parks for children a few minutes away.
I play golf and the house is just 300 yards from the club, which is actually the oldest club house in the world. There is a cricket club about 500 yards away and a rugby club next to the doctor’s surgery.
A five minute drive or cycle ride will take you into several miles of managed woodland with well-maintained tracks.
Buses run hourly through the village, one every ten minutes down the road by the station with routes to Whitstable, Herne Bay and Canterbury.
We have many happy memories of our time at the house but the happiest have been having some of our nine grandchildren and great grandchildren to stay for Christmas.
