South Milton of Corsindae is located in the picturesque Kebbaty area of Gordon District, near Comers, Midmar. The house is within easy commuting distance of Aberdeen, which is only 19 miles to the east. Aberdeen has a large range of shopping facilities, main line railway and an international airport with flights throughout the UK and to Europe. The nearby market towns of Alford (11 miles), Banchory (14 miles) and Inverurie (12 miles) have a good range of shops, secondary schools and a range of sporting activities for both adults and children; although Westhill (10 miles) is perhaps more convenient for shopping.

Aberdeen provides considerable choice of educational facilities with a number of private schools including Robert Gordon, St. Margaret's and Albyn. The city also boasts two universities and several colleges for further education.
