Our Time Here - We bought this property over 20 years ago now. It was a house that definitely stood out and we liked the space that it provided, as well having a great location in an area we were familiar with.

I spend a lot of time in the conservatory, which overlooks the garden and is a lovely place to relax all year round. As a large house, it has been ideal for raising our children here, and its a very social place so it has been great for entertaining. We have had some wonderful barbecues and parties here over the years. There is also a snooker room, which has proved to be very popular with guests!

The house is situated down a long drive away from the main road, and it is so quiet and peaceful that we can sit in the garden and listen to the parakeets, relax in the sunshine or enjoy a barbecue. It is an ideal spot for families as it is easy for children to walk to the local schools and you always can join the rugby and tennis club next door.

Broadstairs is a lovely little Victorian seaside town with a really nice community feel, almost like a village. The house is only a short walk from the Blue Flag sandy beaches at Viking Bay and Stone Bay, and there are several other lovely beaches nearby.

A real highlight of our time at this house would have to be when we got married here! We put two large marquees in the garden and there was still plenty of room. Now the children have gone to University, we feel that now is the right time for us to move to a slightly smaller property, but we will certainly be staying in the local area. We will miss the space and the quiet location the most.
