Our Time Here - We were first attracted by the surrounding area; an open & natural environment with a huge park within easy walking distance. There are lots of green fields all around, and the estate overlooks a picturesque green valley. At the same time, the location is very accessible, with excellent road & railway communications that are second to none.
The house is unique with its long drive, which adds individuality to the property and it really stands out. We have lived here since the house was built and have greatly enjoyed our time here. We absolutely love spending time in the conservatory especially in summer evenings overlooking the moonlit garden. Similarly, it is wonderful to be in this space in the daytime, listening to the birds singing in the beautiful garden.
Chartham is a historical village, which enjoys the amenities of city, yet offers the peace and tranquillity of a countryside environment. We have found the neighbours to be very friendly and helpful; you become a part of the community in no time. There is a local shop for daily essentials, a hairdresser and a Doctors surgery; as well as a church, newly built village hall, football ground and a separate sports centre. There is also a local primary school, and good access to many good secondary and Grammar schools.
We have lived very happily in this house for many years. Our two children have now graduated, left the happy nest they treasured so much and have got married. We feel that we have been very fortunate to have lived here and we will hold this lovely house and the happy times we have had here in our memories.
