Full description

A charming character cottage ideally situated on the edge of the village of Pewsey within a short distance of open countryside yet within easy reach of shops and the wide range of amenities. The cottage has a great deal of charm and has been finished to an excellent standard throughout and features beamed ceilings, an open brick fireplace and latch doors. The cottage has been sympathetically extended in the past and has a deceptively roomy feel. Originally three bedrooms, the upstairs layout has been altered to suit and the property now has a master bedroom with en suite wc and dressing area. On the ground floor the living room is some 19' long complimented by a well fitted cottage kitchen. Outside is a pretty long garden and allocated off-street parking for one car.

Directions - From Marlborough take the A345 to Pewsey and continue to the centre of the village and turn left into the High Street. Proceed for about 400 yards and turn right into Ball Road and continue along the lane past The Coopers Arms and bear right after into a narrow lane. Parking is available around the football club but proceed on foot to the left of the old church mission hall and along the path to locate the cottage on the right.

Situation - The cottage is located in a quiet backwater on the edge of the village close to countryside yet within walking of a good number of amenities. Pewsey is a large village with good local shopping including Lloyds TSB Bank, supermarkets including Coop, 7-day week petrol station and intercity mainline rail link for London, Paddington. It is also on the main north/south bus route from Swindon to Salisbury. There is a large modern village hall, doctor's surgery, leisure centre, primary & secondary schools and a variety of other shops. More extensive facilities are provided by the nearby market towns of Marlborough, Hungerford and Devizes including national retailers. The major commercial centres of Andover, Newbury and Swindon as well as the M4 and M3 motorways are all within easy reach.
