Situation

Woodbury Parish, which includes the villages of Woodbury, Woodbury Salterton and Exton, is one of the largest parishes in Devon and is situated between the cathedral city of Exeter and the sea at Exmouth. It encompasses much of Woodbury Common, an outstanding area of natural beauty and enjoys a thriving community spirit rooted in the church and chapel, in the school and in agriculture. In days past, the parish was frequented by Sir Francis Drake and there is a chapel dedicated to his memory at St Swithins in the village centre. Some of the facilities of the village include two excellent pubs, a village store and post office, doctor's surgery, nearby golf club and leisure facilities at Woodbury Park, easy access to the West Country moors and a bus service operating between Exmouth and Exeter. Other nearby amenities include the award-winning Darts Farm shopping centre and Greendale Farm Shop, both of which are approximately 3 miles distant.

Directions

From Topsham proceed along Station Road, turn right at the roundabout and continue past The Bridge Inn and Darts Farm. At the roundabout turn left and at the next roundabout turn right towards Budleigh Salterton and Woodbury. After approximately 2 miles as you enter Woodbury proceed down the hill and at the cross roads turn left into The Arch. Continue through the village on Greenway, turning right into Flower Street, left into Town Lane and immediately right into Orchard Close.
