A simply stunning stone built barn conversion with 1 acre of beautiful gardens & grounds, 3 double bedrooms including an incredible master bedroom with vaulted ceilings & en-suite bathroom! Wonderful views, parking, LPG C/H, D/G & No Chain.

DESCRIPTION: Store Barn is a superb stone built barn conversion situated in a beautiful rural setting with excellent views over the surrounding countryside, situated about 1 mile from Morchard Road train station, which offers local rail services to Exeter and Barnstaple. Do not rule this property out because it’s semi-detached, you could miss the perfect home you’ve been waiting for!

The 3 double bedroom accommodation is spacious and many of the original features of the barn are remaining including exposed stonework, original king post trusses, and exposed roof beams – especially enjoyed in the master bedroom with its vaulted ceiling.  It also has a modern en-suite bathroom and lovely built-in wardrobes. The ground floor has a large modern kitchen diner, separate dining room and a dual-aspect lounge which enjoys south facing views over the garden and onto countryside beyond.  This view is also enjoyed by the 2nd bedroom. Central heating is provided by a liquid propane gas combination boiler and windows are double glazed units set in timber frames.

There are wonderful south facing gardens that cover approximately 1 acre in total.  Walking the sweeping lawns feels like walking down the fairway at a high end golf course! Half way down there is a lovely decked seating area taking in the rural outlook and down to the pond below which has a considerable amount of wildlife. There is also an orchard with 25 mixed trees including apple, plum, cherry, pear and walnut. Large areas of the garden enjoy complete seclusion in the summer and there is a garden chalet to enjoy that too. The vegetable plots are housed by head height netting.  There are also sheds, a greenhouse, courtyard style seating areas to front and side, ample parking and directly behind the property a workshop and outside office/hobby room with light and power.

MORCHARD ROAD is a hamlet lying along the A377 Crediton/Barnstaple road about 6 miles west of Crediton.  It comprises a scattering of attractive modern and period properties, with the well-known Devonshire Dumpling Inn, and a railway station which offers convenient commuting to Exeter and Barnstaple.  The large village of Morchard Bishop is some 2 miles away to the north and offers further good facilities, likewise the village of Copplestone which is also about 2 miles to the east.

MORCHARD BISHOP is one of the larger parishes in the county lying east of the A377 Exeter / Barnstaple road and north west of Crediton, and having a population of just under 1,000.  It nestles comfortably in the very heartland of Devon, midway between the north and south coast and sitting between the two great Moors, Dartmoor and Exmoor. The village is surrounded by hilly, unspoilt countryside, yet is within easy travelling distance of Crediton (approximately 7 miles), the City of Exeter (approximately 14 miles) and Tiverton (approximately 15 miles).  The village is well served by local regular buses to Crediton and Exeter and is 3 miles from Morchard Road station on the Barnstaple to Exeter Tarka line.  It has an attractive mixture of old thatched cottages and modern houses with amenities such as the parish church, primary school, Doctors Surgery, award winning village shop, garage and London Inn.  There is also a sports club, tennis court, village hall and a bowling green.

DIRECTIONS :  From Crediton take the A377 west towards Barnstaple.  Pass through Copplestone then Morchard Road and continue for approximately 1/2 mile.  From the A377 take the turning left into the drive as signed Store Barn, Bradiford Farm, follow the lane for approximately half a mile to the end and the Store Barn is the first barn.

PLEASE NOTE - The property is accessed via a farm lane and so is probably not suitable for a low sports car.
