Our Time Here - After 20 happy years in this house, we are sad to leave but our boys have left home and we are retiring so it is time to downsize and leave the house for another family to enjoy.
We were drawn to the house by the space it had to offer a growing family as well as the fantastic location which offers excellent access to the town, the station and the national road network.
The outside space is a fantastic feature. The garden is totally private and we have really enjoyed the kind of seclusion, which is rarely seen in properties so close to town. We have many happy memories of using the garden as a family and with friends. It has been wonderful to swim or relax by the pool and play garden games like cricket, croquet and table tennis with the children and their friends whilst the pool house has been the scene of many parties over the years.
Both of us are keen cooks and love entertaining so we designed the kitchen carefully, equipping it with a professional range cooker as well as ensuring there is more than enough work surface and storage space.
Faversham itself is a beautiful, medieval market town which has a really friendly, vibrant atmosphere with a growing cafe culture. There is a market 3 times a week with stalls offering a variety of local produce and crafts. Macknade Farm Shop a few minutes from the house is a highly popular place to stock up on specialist cheeses, meats, beers and speciality ingredients from all over the world as well as freshly baked artisan breads and a huge variety of interesting fruit and veg.
This has been a fantastic family home for us. It has allowed us to accommodate and entertain friends and family with ease and comfort over the years.
