SITUATION 
The woodland is situated within mid Powys close to the Elan Valley lakes and Cambrian Mountain open access areas. The woodland is accessed directly from a council maintained road. The woodland is situated approximately 2.5 miles off the A470 trunk road from Rhayader to Builth Wells - Rhayader 5 miles, Llandrindod Wells 9 miles, Builth Wells 12 miles.

DIRECTIONS 
From Llandrindod Wells, take the A4081 west to join the A470 (Builth Wells to Rhayader road). Turn right for Rhayader then left into the village of Llanwrthwl. Pass through the village to the T junction and turn left to Elan Village. After approximately 2.5 miles the woodland can be found at the roadside.
