History-
The Chantry has been a well loved and cherished family home for almost 36 years accommodating 3 generations and also the perfect venue for 3 family wedding celebrations which followed Marriage Ceremonies at the early 15th Century St Georges Church set to the rear.

The land on which The Chantry stands is thought to be part of a Chantry bequest in 1537 by Dame Anne St Leger of Annery for her husband Joseph. A small brass memorial tablet to him can be seen in the Church.

The main part of the house was built by the Saltren-Willets of Petticombe in 1833 with East Wing and part of the West Wing considered to be at least early 18th Century. The latest addition to the West Wing was in 1982.
