A WORD FROM THE OWNER.....
I have spent 27 happy years in this flat. There has been the odd occasion (usually on a hot, sunny day) when I have thought about moving so that I can have a garden. However, a wander down to the bottom of the road and around Lloyd Park soon satisfied that urge for the sun on my face and left me content to stay where I was. It is so convenient for getting into the heart of the city, with a 10 minute walk to the station, or out to the countryside at Hollow Ponds or various parts of Epping Forest.
Over the years there have been changes of faces as neighbours came and went but what didn't change was the feeling of community in Ruby Road. People smile and chat. An online group has developed so that residents can get together to share special events such as the street parties that have taken place to celebrate Royal events and the project where neighbours got together to plant flowers around the bases of the trees to brighten up the street. There is a pride about living in Ruby Road. Although it is time to move on, I will miss it tremendously
