Our Time Here - When we saw this property in the agents window, we were looking for a Georgian house; so this one threw us a bit of a curve ball, but looked worth investigation. We fell in love with it the minute we walked into the large hall. The more we saw we realised how different it was from anything else we had seen and knew we had to have it. We offered on the house as soon as we could.
The house fills with natural light and all the rooms have a feeling of airiness. We spend most of our time at the back of the house and love the way the garden and room almost seem as one. The garden is sheltered and a haven for wild birds.
Broadstairs can feel very local with a great range of butchers, fishmongers and shops selling local fresh produce and St Peters is still very much a village. There are great restaurants spanning the culinary world. The Thanet beaches are amazing with lovely soft sand but if you want country, thats there too. There is an increasing number of local groups catering for all interests.
We have fallen in love with the seaside in winter. You can walk all around the Thanet coast and, whilst it is beautiful in the summer, a winter walk along the beach is very special, especially when finished with a drink in one of the many great pubs.
The house is wonderful for a party or family gathering, it absorbs people and never feels cramped. It was perfect for our big day when filled with our family all happy and looking to the future. Of course being at the seaside you are never short on visitors and we have enjoyed many good weekends with friends and family in this lovely house.
