The Vendor's View - Weve always liked this road its so handy for the beach and everything. Its a quaint cottage in a lovely part of Whitstable and weve lived here for five years. The front of the house with its cosy and comfortable lounge and wonderful log burner is the winter warmer half of the house, while the back with its bi-folding doors that open onto the garden is the summer party house. Weve had loads of barbecues and parties out there. I also love how, in the summer, the breeze from the sea makes our bedroom wonderfully cool during the very hot nights. And, of course, there are the sea views and gorgeous sunsets. Its perfect just sitting on the beach with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.
Well always remember Christmases here, and Halloween, when we dress the garden up with gravestones and skeletons. Our grandchildren absolutely love it. As theyve grown up, their first words included beach and boat, so weve always called this the Beach Boat. No matter the weather, as soon as they say it, we put on our wellies and go onto the beach. The social life here is lovely. We have great neighbours. Sometimes we all go to the restaurant on the corner Windy Corner where we all sit together and have tapas. Its just lovely. Like the restaurant and Neptune pub, everything is within walking distance: the schools, the GP surgery, our little playhouse theatre. Theres parking here as well, so you can just put your car away theres no need to use it.
Well really miss it here, but were moving to Cornwall to be near family. Well pop back for holidays, though.
