Bladon is an ancient village which has gradually grown over the years not least due to its links to Blenheim Palace, the related sawmills and farmland. The village itself contains a good pub, an eleventh century church (where many of the Spencer-Churchill family are buried, most famously Winston Churchill) and a tea room, and a wider range of amenities are available within a few miles in Woodstock and Long Hanborough. The school catchments are excellent, road and rail access also very good (Long Hanborough station goes to Paddington), and the village is surrounded by delightful farmland.

West View is a remarkable house. Originally a "standard" bungalow, what you see today bears no resemblance to what came before. Rarely does anyone create such a stand-out, high-tech home this stylish and comfortable. From the wide bi-fold doors opening onto the garden and terrace on two sides, to the centrally-controlled electronic systems, this is a house for those who want to be pampered! Serving all four is a wonderful bathroom with both a shower and bath - not to mention the TV - and there's also a cloak room.

Outside is equally thoughtfully presented. The front driveway is securely enclosed by remote-controlled timber electric gates, leading into an area with more than enough room for five or six cars. There is a pretty lawn in front of the house, and to the rear of the driveway an open car barn is both large and stylish, built of timber with rooms for two large vehicles. Behind this the terrace wraps round three sides of the house providing various lovely seating areas. But beyond this the real treat is the lawn. With an apple tree to one side and a dead straight run of lawn it is so attractive and peaceful. The whole is enclosed by secure fencing and there is also a hedge to the left. It all adds up to a wonderful garden space that is attractive, roomy and completely private.
