Full description

Tenure: Freehold

Formally the post office, this large bungalow built to the Scandia-Hus design is not only energy efficient, but also has plenty of flexible living areas.

Pull up and take advantage of plenty of off road parking and we mean plenty.

A large entrance porch sets the tone for the remainder of the home. The large kitchen/diner will no doubt be the hub of your home and we're sure has some stories to tell. Bathed in natural light this is a great place in the morning. A 'proper' dining area can accommodate a large dining table.

A separate lounge shares the same aspect as the kitchen/diner. At 17ft in length do not fret that your corner sofa won't fit in here.

Furthermore a sitting room and office are just two more rooms that could be whatever you need them for.

Three of the bedrooms are comfortable doubles, although the sitting room/fourth bedroom is not small by comparison. All are serviced by the large family bathroom. There's a separate cloakroom for good measure too.

At the rear of a garage is the office or potentially a useful workshop space.

The rear garden is incredibly secluded and with fields belonging to the Cat Protection behind there's no noise from there either.

The village recreation ground, public house and local school can all be walked to from here.

Not mentioning of course the Ashdown Forest, in which you will never be bored.

Please refer to the footnote regarding the services and appliances.

What the Owner says:

We lived in the village and we moved here as it was a great opportunity to down size. As it was the post office it also gave us an income.
When the post office closed we changed the internal layout to give us a more rooms throughout.
We also added the garage and altered the layout allowing us an office at the rear of it. We also created a large hall connecting the house with the office.
We've really enjoyed living in the village and hope the next owners are as happy here as we have been.
