Our Time Here - We were first drawn to the property nine years ago, when looking for a family home. The house is situated in a really good location in Folkestone, and isnt overlooked at all, giving a nice feeling of space and privacy.
The property has a lovely feel and the whole house is really well proportioned; with three reception rooms and the kitchen downstairs, and four bedrooms, all being a good size. We spend a lot of our time cooking, eating and chatting in the kitchen since we modernised it a few years ago. Its a great place to spend time in as a family.
One of the major attractions for us was the proximity to the schools, being very close to a good primary school, along with both boys and girls grammar schools. The house is also very close to the station and the high speed link, which I use to commute to London every day in just under an hour. We like to go to the theatre in London in the evening and we can get the train home in time for the babysitter its very convenient. We can also easily walk into the town centre for all the local shops and independent restaurants, while there are several major supermarkets within a short drive.
This has been a very convenient and comfortable family home. We will probably miss the space the most, which has provided enough room for everyone to do their own thing, but also room to all get together when we need to. Its been great for parties and entertaining, and weve had friends and family round for many Christmas and New Year celebrations over the years.
