I have loved living in this property however personal circumstances mean that sadly I must sell. The Old Barn has a very quirky, cosy, warm and friendly feel about it - the first thing visitors comment on when they walk in.
Since buying the house I have put down a cosy floor in the kitchen, plus under floor heating. The lounge is carpeted, retaining the original slate floor beneath. Both bathrooms have been upgraded, with under floor heating in the en-suite, the family bathroom has a tiled floor beneath the carpet tiles. Externally attractive stone flags have been laid with effective drainage. There is now a built-in stone bench situated in the sunniest part of the yard.
Overton is an extremely friendly village with the most incredible views over Glasson Dock and beyond. It is a historic fishing village, allegedly once the site of a Roman settlement, with many stone-built or white-washed cottages, some of which date back to the 17th century. There are plenty of walks, in and around the area. The tidal mud flats and estuaries make it an ideal conservation area for bird life.
