Tenure: Freehold

The house is originally a mid 19th Century property which has been improved and extended by the current owners creating a large living space and master bedroom suite. The house sits well within its plot with a large frontage and a good garden to the rear with large terraces and a lawned and landscaped garden. There are views from most rooms with all principal rooms looking onto the garden, sea views from most windows to the rear and an outlook onto the 17th green at Churston Golf Course from the main bedroom. This is a lovely house, which a new owner could still put their mark on, in a private address in Churston. Viewing is highly recommended.

The property is situated in a little known private address adjoining the golf course and with a view out over Torbay and out to sea. There are numerous routes from the house for walking or running. The Steam Rail Line to Kingswear passes to the front of the house. Churston itself has a Golf Club with a superb course (, there are walks along the coastal path with beaches at Broadsands, Elbury Cove and Churston Cove all nearby and the marinas of Torquay, Brixham and Kingswear are all within a short drive. Churston also has a Grammar School and a parade of shops (Churston Broadway) and Village stores.

The area has recently benefitted from the opening of the new (2015) South Devon link road, cutting travel times to Exeter and the M5 to under 45 minutes and for access to London rail and air services.

From Torquay head out passing Paignton and Goodrington on Dartmouth Road (A379). Pass the Churston Broadway shops staying in the left hand lane marked Brixham and Dartmouth. After about 100 metres take the first left (signed Churston Court) into Bascombe Road. Continue passing the golf course on the right, cross over the bridge and immediately turn left (signed Bascombe Court). Continue down the road and the property is the first house on the right hand side.

From Exeter take the South Devon Highway A380 following signs to Brixham. Continue on Brixham Road A3022 until reaching traffic lights at Churston. Turn right (still signed Brixham) onto Dartmouth Road and after almost 100 metres take the first left (signed Churston Court) into Bascombe Road and continue as above.

Over the years the owners have landscaped the gardens in different styles in different areas with an English Rose Garden and an Italian influenced area to the front of the house, a Japanese garden to the side with Acer, Flowering Cherry, a Liquid Amber tree and a small Rhododendron garden to the rear.
