Sold STC £800,000
Guide Price £800,000 to £850,000 Having undergone extensive remodelling including a double height extension by the current owners, this fabulous home offers incredible modern day living in an attractive period home.
The huge front door is your private entrance and once inside a wide hallway welcomes. Into the lounge and you are struck at how high the ceilings are, how bright the room is with the large sash bay window and how beautiful the coving is. From the bay to the rear of the original footprint of the house is almost 35’ and this can be all open to reveal the wonderful area that features the stunning bi fold concertina doors overlooking the garden below. Alternatively, this can be closed off with the original doors to allow two or three separate areas. Nice wide stripped and polished floorboards are a theme running through on this level. Back out to the hallway and into the room currently used as a study overlooking the garden. A cloakroom is also found by the top of the stairs. To the ground floor and we find three great size bedrooms, the master with luxury en suite wet room, quality family bathroom and plentiful storage. Access to the large secluded garden is from both floors and the building being end of terrace means you have the benefit of side access.
This wonderful share of freehold home is likely to appeal to a wide audience as it is larger than many houses and could suit professional couples, those with a growing family or due to the large rooms, people looking to downsize.
Located in the Brockley Conservation Area, in a road of similar style attractive homes, Brockley Station with the London Overground and swift links to London Bridge and also St Johns Station with a 1 stop to Lewisham for the DLR are both found circa a third of a mile.
For those looking at schools, the choice is Outstanding and Good primaries according to Ofsted.
To fully appreciate this fine home your attention to view is highly recommended.
‘'What the Vendor Says’
“Our house boasts amazing light, space and proportions and we’ll be sad to leave. With the main living space upstairs and bedrooms downstairs, we get to enjoy a lovely light all the time, blessed with an uncluttered outlook across our back garden to the scout hut grounds and gardens of Breakspears Rd. We even have a local woodpecker to listen out for. The extension we built four years ago has substantially added to the house with full glass doors essentially opening up our living space further and providing direct access to the garden. We also put in a patio area for outdoor eating and enjoying the last of the sun. The en-suite shower room in the main bedroom was another superb renovation which we carried out after discovering unused space under the stairs up to our front door (the old coal hole). A final refurb effort of ours was to replace all the windows with double glazed sash windows, making the house much warmer. In terms of location, we couldn’t be better placed either, with weekend hotspot, Brockley Market, at one end of our road, Hilly Fields at the other end, and St Johns station a few minutes away (and New Cross/Lewisham/Brockley stations all easily accessible)."
