Our Time Here - This house is one of four unique townhouses in Faversham. We restored and modernised the property extensively. The house retains many original features such as the fireplaces as well as the cornicing; while having a new heating system, new electrics and windows, and has been plastered and re-decorated throughout. The house still has Victorian charm, but benefits from all the modern comforts such as new kitchen and new bathroom.
We really love how quiet it is here. The house is so central for everything, and weve found that this is such an easy place to live. Faversham is a really great market town with plenty going on. Were two streets away from the best school in Faversham, and the town is just a 5 minute walk away. Its also only a 5 minute walk to the park. Its a friendly neighbourhood, and there are lots of families with children here.
Because the street is so quite its surprising how ideal the location is for travel, just a minutes drive to the M2, and a 2 minute walk to the train station. The high speed rail link will get you into St Pancras in 1 hour 8 minutes or you can travel to Victoria in 1 hour 20 minutes on the other line, so its useful to be able to reach both sides of London.
Its amazing to live here with children; the big kitchen/diner in the basement level allows plenty of room for everyone to gather together, while the ground floor offers additional space to spread out. Having these two levels of living space has been a real benefit for us as a family, allowing everyone to have their own space.
Theyre very easy houses to live in, very light and bright, with a lovely family atmosphere. As a semi-detached property, we have side access, which has been a real blessing for us as a family with young children. The garden is very easy to maintain and a perfect size for children to play in; we often feel like its another room.
