Spring Cottage is located in the heart of Ironbridge, a world heritage site and home to the world's first iron bridge which was erected over the River Severn in 1779. Historically a bustling mining village, today is a charming extended village with renowned restaurants, independent shops and along with museums reflecting its fascinating history. Beyond the Gorge and the Museums you have the beauty of Shropshire to explore, with medieval towns, spectacular scenery, gardens and historical sites dating back over 2,000 years.

Ironbridge is situated close to the town of Telford from where the M54 (approx 6 miles) provides easy access to the Midland business centres and national motorway network. The county town of Shrewsbury is approximately 16 miles away. There is a rail service from Telford and Wolverhampton to London Euston while regional airports include Birmingham, East Midlands and Manchester.

There are good schools in the area including the well respected Coalbrookdale Infant and Junior School and Thomas Telford Academy, and William Brookes School in the nearby town of Much Wenlock. Within the private sector Wrekin College, Shrewsbury School and High School and a variety of prep schools, are all within easy daily travelling distance.

Spring Cottage is a charming, individual home, which nestles on the bank of the Ironbridge Gorge above the River Severn and is approached from a quiet hillside lane. Just on from the driveway the wharf steps lead down to the River Severn and the centre of Ironbridge.

Spring Cottage is a well presented detached extended Cottage which blends modern fixtures and fittings along with original character features.

The front door is approached by a paved path and opens into a porch which leads into the sitting room and snug situated at the front of the house which enjoys views across the Gorge. The sitting room features a log burning stove. To the rear of the property is a larger living area, with an open fireplace incorporating decorative Victorian tiles and French doors that open out to a paved terrace. To the rear of the house is a modern fitted kitchen/dining room with wall and base units, gas range, useful pantry and a laundry/boot room with downstairs WC to the side. Additional light is fed to the kitchen through a toughened glass ceiling feature panel, which looks straight up to a skylight that is above the landing.

On the first floor there are four double bedrooms. The master bedroom suite is located to the front of the house and enjoys views over the Gorge. Three further double bedrooms are accessed from the first floor, two of which have doors leading to the rear terrace. A bathroom and additional guest shower room completes the accommodation.

Outside, Spring Cottage is approached from a private drive, set behind a brick wall which provides parking for at least two cars. A close boarded gate gives pedestrian access to steps that leads to a large terrace and both the front and back doors. The gardens of Spring Cottage surround the property on three sides and benefits from a southerly aspect with views over the Ironbridge Gorge. The gardens comprise of a number of terrace lawns with well stocked borders and interspersed with gravel paths and seating areas. Immediately to the front of the house is a paved terrace and BBQ making it ideal for outdoor entertaining.
