THE PROPERTY A charming and delightful country cottage retaining many original features, offering the real essence of country living, believed to date back to the mid nineteenth cenury. The accommodation has a lovely flow to the ground floor and offers a good sized country kitchen dining area, with two separate sitting rooms both having lovely stone fireplaces with log burners.
~
The property has two reception rooms, each with a stone fireplace and a wood-burning stove; the main reception room has rustic slate flooring and the snug features a limestone floor. In addition to the main reception rooms, there are also two conservatories leading out to the front gardens.
The kitchen, dining and breakfast areas are in an L-shape, warmed by the Rayburn; this yellow range, complementing the terracotta flooring, adds a Provencal colour scheme to this lovely informal series of rooms. There is a useful utility room to the rear of the property. To the first floor, all three bedrooms enjoy views over the front gardens and beyond; to the rear of the cottage are two bathrooms and a spacious landing that provides useful work/hobby space and is used as an occasional guest bedroom.

LOCATION End Cottage is in a secluded, rural location, but is not isolated. The villages of Bream and Ellwood are just 1.5 miles away; Bream has a primary school and Post Office and store and Ellwood also has a primary school.
Approximate distances:
Coleford, with shops and amenities 3 miles
Lydney railway station 5 miles
Monmouth Haberdashers' Schools 9 miles
Chepstow 12 miles
M48 / M4 14 miles

EXTERNAL There are two sections of cottage garden to the front of the property, both with mature shrubs and flowers and two small brick outhouses now used as log stores. The detached double garage offers parking and workspace. The gardens extend around the side of the end cottage and to the rear of both cottages, offering a total of almost one third of an acre in total around the property itself.
The section of land on the other side of the parking area offers scope for growing fruit and vegetables.
