Historical note
Courtyard Lodge is believed to be a later addition to the original section of Trevalyn Hall built in 1576. It is Grade II listed as "an important and unusual survivor of a service wing to an Elizabethan country house". Trevalyn Hall was built for John Trevor; the Trevors claimed descent from the C10th Welsh prince Tudor Trevor.

Courtyard Lodge is constructed in brick with stone dressings. In recent years it has been comprehensively modernised and provides well balanced, beautifully presented accommodation with fascinating historic features.
