Full description

Tenure: Freehold

This beautiful home is a classic example of a Edwardian Villa but in Victorian style, built to maximise the breathtaking sea views which are seen from the principal receptions room on the ground floor, the sitting room on the first floor and the master bedroom. The property has been upgraded throughout and much thought has been given to retaining the character features and in some rooms reinstating them entirely. On entering this stunning home you will be instantly impressed by its large hallway which still boasts ornate coving and high ceilings. Both ground floor receptions have full length doors giving access to the enclosed landscaped gardens via the wrap around conservatory, but also giving a fantastic vista of the sea below. The well equipped kitchen is situated at the rear of the house has been fitted with an extensive array of fitted units and an attractive contrasting splash back. Within the kitchen there is ample space for a dining table although your more formal occasions would of course take place in the impressive dining room. The current layout of the home incorporates the fourth bedroom on the ground floor, as the current owner uses the large sea view room on the first floor as a second sitting room. The ground floor bedroom could very easily be used as a study or home office with the large room on the first floor becoming another bedroom. There is also a ground floor shower room and a utility room. The current first floor layout with three double bedrooms and a sitting room are served by a separate cloakroom and family bathroom, both of these offering neutral decor and white suites.

The gardens surrounding the home have been immaculately landscaped with an attractive decked area with lighting for alfresco dining whilst taking in the views. This area has been made to need minimal maintenance so that the area can be enjoyed without consuming your time. To the front of the home is a garage which has an electric up and over door and has access via a rear door back into the garden and through to the main house. For any buyers who have an appreciation for character properties and a lust for a sea view, you may look no further than this fine example.

What the Owner says:

This house has been a happy family home where we have entertained family and friends in the summer and at Christmas.

We have sunshine around the house all day long, and having drinks on the decking has ended many a perfect day, after a walk or visit to the beach.

We can walk into the town in five minutes and to many good restaurants and pubs. The house feels loved and comfortable, the perfect place to live, and I will be very sorry to leave it.
