The land which forms the Golf Centre was purchased by the current owner's family in the 1970's, and this now well-established Golf Centre was opened in 1998. We are informed by our clients that Ronan Rafferty and Martin Gillette were the golf architects, who designed the course and oversaw its construction.

Boars Head Golf Centre is approached via a wide tarmac entrance drive which leads to an extensive car park. Situated a short distance from the car park is the weatherboard clubhouse, which currently provides a bar/reception room and w.c.'s. Adjacent to the clubhouse is a wide paved terrace, from which there is a lovely outlook over the ninth green. Situated a short distance from the clubhouse is the floodlit putting green, beyond which is the floodlit driving range which comprises fifteen undercover stalls, nine of which have Power Tees. There are also six open stalls and a floodlit short game practice area which includes a grass tee. The gently undulating course has been skilfully designed to accommodate some magnificent mature trees and woodland shaws, which have a mass of bluebells in the spring. From the course there are some spectacular far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside.

We are informed by our clients that there is a computerised irrigation system on the greens, tees and short game practice area and that the irrigation system is supplied by two spring fed ponds, from which water is pumped to a holding tank. There is also mains water back up.
Planning permission was granted
by Wealden District Council under reference
WD/99/2507/F for the construction of a new

Boars Head Golf Centre is situated in a highly accessible geographical location just off the A26, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The A26 provides fast access to Tunbridge Wells, the A21 and thus the M25. The large town of Crowborough is only about 1.5 miles to the south west, whilst the regional centre in the area, Royal Tunbridge Wells is about 5.5 miles, and the market town of Tonbridge is about 11 miles.

Eridge Station is about 1.5 miles providing a service to London (London Bridge/Victoria in approximately one hour and 70 minutes respectively). There is a further station at Tunbridge Wells which provides a regular mainline train service to London (Charing Cross/Canon Street about 50 minutes). Gatwick Airport is about 32 miles.
