Our Time Here - It was curiosity that brought us to this property, some 17 years ago now. We couldnt believe the size of the accommodation, the garden, and the fact that it had a separate two storey annexe that was perfect for conversion. It seemed too good to be true! We fell in love with it and it became a great family home.
The house has a contemporary feel inside and is a bit of a Tardis - everyone is surprised by how spacious it is. The space has worked well for us over the years and we have adapted it as necessary to suit our growing familys needs.
The fact that the property has an additional, detached two-storey building really sets this place apart. We use it for an office, guest accommodation and storage. It has been wonderful for us to able to run the family business from home, yet still be separate from it. We love the garden and being able to walk through it into the Blean Woods nature reserve.
The location is great! There is an award-winning general store in the village, along with a Doctor's surgery, two pub/restaurants and a primary school which is rated by OFSTED as Outstanding. Travel connections here are really good too. Our children went to secondary school in Canterbury and they were able to catch the bus from right outside the house. We can drive to the coast at Whitstable or to Canterbury city centre in around 10 minutes or be on the Thanet Way in just five minutes. We are also on the right side of town for the High-Speed rail link to London.
We are downsizing now that our three daughters have left home. This place has been perfect for us and we will be very sad to say goodbye to it.
