There is the benefit of a telecoms mast at the Old Pump Station, Rhigos Road, Blaenrhondda. The lease to One 2 One Personal Communications Limited is dated 3 July 2000 and runs for a term of 20 years with an initial rent of £2,400 per annum, The rent is reviewed every three years, indexed to RPI.
Policy CS3 of the RCT Local Development Plan (2011-2026), identifies 8 strategic sites which are allocated for a mixture of residential, retail and recreational purposes.
Policy NSA5 allocates the subject site for the construction of 350 – 400 dwellings, a retail centre and informal recreation, subject to a reclamation plan.
