The Vendor's View - Weve lived here 19 years. We were first drawn to the light, airy atmosphere and the absolutely beautiful location. The views from the house are just amazing, you can see the sea, Kingsgate Castle, and look out over the North Foreland Golf Course and Neptunes Point Folly.
The house is quite unusual in that it was built with reclaimed bricks, and has a very pretty, eye- catching exterior as a result. We were also lucky enough to purchase some of the leftover American Ash wood from the Olympic Stadium to create the bespoke staircase and woodwork throughout the property. Its a lovely piece of modern history in the house! My favourite feature though, has to be the 16ft window, which spans all three floors and provides the most spectacular view out over the channel.
The lounge is probably our favourite room, thanks to the huge bi-fold door that runs the whole way along one side. Its a really cosy space with the fire on in the autumn and winter months, looking out over the garden. In the spring and summer its great to be able to open up the door and bring the outside in, which makes this a perfect space for entertaining and relaxing.
The house is located on a quiet street, literally a minutes walk from the green at the bottom of the road, which leads into Botany Bay. Its a fantastic area for dog walking and families with children. We often take visitors to the Botany Bay Hotel where they serve good food, and there is another lovely pub on the clifftop called The Captain Digby.
Its a really nice place to live with lovely neighbours and very little traffic, despite having such easy access to local shops, towns and amenities. The opportunity to expand our business has arisen and so now is the right time for us to move on. However, we will really miss the views, but we have many fantastic memories that we hold at this wonderful house.
