On arrival at Glasgow Airport, take the M8 west which runs into the A8, head for Greenock and then Gourock and look for the signs for Western Ferries at McInroy’s Point. This ferry, which does not require pre-booking runs every half hour from 6am or 6.30am (depending on season) until 10.30pm, where after the last ferry is midnight). This will bring you to Hunters Quay, Dunoon, from the ferry terminal turn left and continue through Dunoon, the villages of Innellan and Toward on the A815 until the road finishes at a red telephone box and the entrance to Glenstriven Estate.
