Stock House is an impressive five bedroom family home built in 2008 by the highly respected developers, Millwood Designer Homes. It is one of only 11 individually designed properties and, because it is in a cul de sac, there is little traffic so it is very quiet and safe for children and pets. At the same time, it is also within walking distance of excellent grammar, primary and prep schools as well as Broadstairs station, the town centre and the seafront.Whatever your needs this house provides plenty of flexibility. It is a wonderful home to bring up your family and is also ideal for entertaining as well as having appropriate facilities for working from home. The house was sensitively extended in 2012 to incorporate a relaxing family room with bi-folding doors to the garden overlooking the heated swimming pool, surrounded by decking. There is also a large summerhouse that has been designed as a purpose built office and has everything needed to run a business from home and enables you to work undisturbed by any activities in the main house. There is an archway through from the family room to the well fitted kitchen/breakfast area providing a great overall space as the hub of the household. Anyone who revels in cooking will be delighted with the kitchen area that includes a range cooker, built in coffee machine and microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and American style fridge/freezer. If you like entertaining your guests will enjoy having drinks in the large lounge with its attractive fireplace and patio doors to the garden and take pleasure in sampling your cooking sitting round the table in the adjacent dining room.Upstairs there is a spacious galleried landing leading to the family bathroom and the five double bedrooms, including the second bedroom with en-suite facilities and the fabulous master suite. This not only has a large en-suite shower room but also a veritable wall of Neville Johnson designed wardrobes and a dressing area with a further wall of mirrored wardrobes – so there is plenty of storage.

What the Owner says:
We bought this house in 2008 off plan, so that we had the opportunity to select the colour schemes as well as the internal fittings such as the kitchen and bathrooms, but circumstances are such that we are now starting a new chapter in our lives. We chose this house as it was in an ideal location for our children to be able to walk to school and for us to be able to get to the station easily. There are also lovely walks in the area and you can take a stroll to Viking or Louisa Bay or stop off at one of the myriad of individual bars and restaurants in the town. Also we knew that Millwood Designer Homes was an excellent developer and the property would be built to a very high specification including using reclaimed bricks to make the development look more established.
Over the years it has been a great home for us and the children and we were delighted to extend it so we had a family room where everyone could relax together and build the swimming pool which has been a joy. We have hosted numerous barbecues/summer parties over the years as well as dinners and special celebrations with a large marquee in the garden. We also upgraded the integral double garage to include a laminate floor and fitted units so it can always be used as a large games room and the children often spent time in there with their friends if it was raining.
