Middleton Stoney is a small village set between Bicester to the East and Lower Heyford to the West, on the edge of the Middleton Park estate, former home of the Earl of Jersey. It has history dating back to at least the 13th century, a fact confirmed by the age of the Jersey Arms hotel/ restaurant. The access to both towns and arterial routes is excellent, with Bicester a short drive away (from where London Marylebone is as little as a 42 minute journey by rail) and Oxford a straight run to the South. Surrounding the village is wonderful open countryside and farmland with some delightful established walks including at least one tree lined avenue that was once a Roman road. Bicester town centre has been the subject of much regeneration, with a new Sainsburys opened recently and a multiplex cinema.

The Old Post Office was converted in approximately 1989 into 3 flats. Number 2 occupies the whole of the first floor, with its own dedicated stairs, ground floor inner porch and front door onto the parking to the rear. Every room is absurdly generous, in fact the overall space is far greater than many two bedroom cottages. And with large windows in every room it is a light property. The vendor had carried out many upgrades over the years from double glazing throughout to a bespoke kitchen and bathroom.

Through the porch there is an inner hall and beyond that the stairs. These rise to a long landing with typical Victorian high ceiling overhead - which is a feature throughout. This too looks down the lane opposite through large windows. Adjacent, the bathroom is stylish with mosaic tiles round the shower and contrasting blue and white larger tiles round the separate bath. This plus a tiled floor adds a touch of individuality that is fun as well as attractive. Next door, the main bedroom really is quite something, being as it is larger than most houses can boast, and in addition there are wardrobes across the whole of one wall.

Outside, the parking is reached via a driveway to the right of the building. This comes into a large gravelled car parking area with two allocated parking spaces. To one end there is also a paved eating area in addition to a shed. Note the red LPG cylinders to the rear of the house are used for the heating system.
