Set within the Dartmoor National Park Bridford is a popular village with a strong sense of community within the beautiful rolling countryside of the Teign Valley. Within the village there is a popular local pub, The Bridford Inn, which also has a community shop, there is a church and the village offers excellent access to the local green lanes and bridles paths, making for good walking and riding etc. The nearby village of Christow has a post office/shop and a primary school, there is a further primary school at Doddiscombleigh, along with the well-known Nobody Inn. The Cathedral city of Exeter is just over 10-miles away with its red-brick University, fine dining, the Princesshay shopping centre and a good range of public and private schools. Exeter also has a mainline rail link to London Paddington in just over 2-hours. The wilds of open moorland are also within easy reach of the village.
From Exeter take the B3212, Cowick Street through St Thomas, proceeding directly ahead at the cross roads and leave the city via Dunsford Hill. Pass through the village of Longdown and on for some distance before turning left at Farrants Cross signposted Christow and Bridford on the B3193. Shortly after passing over the bridge turn left before taking the right hand turn into Pound lane towards Bridford. Proceed up the hill and upon reaching the village turn right, bear left immediately after Oxenpark Gate, Tor Park will be found on the right hand side.
