Description

Highcroft Park is a private development set in parkland type grounds with traditional Country Estate fencing with a real community feel, consisting of just over 20 properties on the edge of Chudleigh and is bordered by beautiful woods. The whole development has been redesigned and created by Country & Coast Homes with careful attention paid to the design and layout of the buildings and their situiation with regards to the gardens and grounds.

All properties come with a BLP 10 year warranty certificate backed by Allianz Insurance, are fully double glazed and insulated. Attention has been paid to the style and quality of the kitchens, including Bosch ovens and hobs, and bathrooms with tiles by Original Style and all properties come with fitted carpets and landscaped gardens.

The development is built around a central communal garden which is a beautiful focal point but also likely to be a pleasant place to sit and socialise. This central courtyard has been re-lanscaped as part of the overall redevelopment of the site by former Scotland on Sunday gardening journalist, Benedict Bull of Smart Landscapes, in conjunction with Chelsea Gold medal winning Knoll Gardens, to create a unique and tranquil space. A number of the properties have lovely far reaching views to rolling Devon countryside and there are numerous local walks on your doorstep.

All properties have their own gardens and two car parking spaces with visitors parking for the development also provided.

Situation

Highcroft Park is located just outside the small Devon Town of Chudleigh. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside, Chudleigh retains a charm of days gone by with its narrow lanes, footpaths, pretty cottages and nooks and passages making this lively bustling town a great place to live, work explore and enjoy whatever the season.

Wander down its main street where you will find a wealth of choice offered from local trades people from grocery items, gift or craft items for a special occasion or perhaps an item of local artwork, furniture or antiques as well as a post office, hardware store, newsagent, delicatessen, 2 small supermarkets, a small open air market twice a week, pet shop and greengrocers.

Chudleigh also offers a wide range of additional services including public houses and holiday accommodation as well as vets, Chudleigh Primary School, a choice of two doctor's practices and a dentists surgery. There is also a public library set within the large car park that provides access to all parts of the town.

The Chudleigh summer carnival, Chudfest and Christmas late night shopping festival are just three of the many events held throughout the year supported by local businesses and enthusiastically attended by the community in their droves.

The town is set amidst some of Devon's finest rolling farmland, close to the Teign Valley, Haldon Forest and Dartmoor National Park. The A38 Devon expressway, which adjoins the M5 motorway network, provides easy access to the nearby Cathedral City and County town of Exeter, which provides a good range of educational, recreational and shopping facilities.

The reputable Stover school is also close at hand. For the sporting enthusiast there are golf courses at Exeter, Bovey Castle, Moretonhampstead, Teign Valley and Stover, whilst fishing can be enjoyed on the Hennock reservoirs, River Exe, River Teign and the Teign Estuary. There is horse racing at Haldon and Newton Abbot.
