OKEHAMPTON
Often described as the walking center of Dartmoor with easy moorland access the town gets its name from the confluence of the East and West Okement Rivers. Outline planning permission for up to 375 dwellings a primary school and retail unit (up to 250 sq m) on land north of Crediton Road, Okehampton was granted by West Devon Borough Council under reference number 01089/2013 on the 30th October 2015. A S106 agreement was entered into that contains a number of financial obligations as detailed in the technical pack as well as confirmation that the affordable housing requirement has been agreed at 6%.
