Scottish Property Centre are delighted to offer this 3 bedroom timber built cottage to the market, located in the beautiful Glenstriven Estate south of Dunoon, the property boasts outstanding views to Loch Striven, the Isle of Bute and the mountains of Arran in the distance.

Viewing by appointment only.

The estate lies on the west side of the peninsula, a gloriously wild area of lochs, glens, sea, mountains and forests, yet within an hour's drive of Glasgow airport.

Flagstaff Cottage sits in an elevated position overlooking the Loch Striven approximately 1/4 of mile inside the estate and consists of 9 acres of land including broad leaved woodlands, tracks and burns and a cobbled concrete road leading from the estate entrance to a metalled road at the property and a timber boat shed. The property overlooks a paddock and garden and is surrounded by a sizable balcony which covers 2 sides of the cottage with access to the snug and sitting room.

The property is entered from the decked balcony where the sitting room, snug and bedroom 3 are located, a stairway in the sitting room leads to the upper level where there are 2 bedrooms and family bathroom, on the lower level is the kitchen, boot room, sauna, and another bathroom. A doorway leads out to the patio area and into the front garden, a great place to enjoy the views and useful for barbeques etc.

The estate lies on the west side of the peninsula, a gloriously wild area of lochs, glens, sea, mountains and forests, yet within an hour's drive of Glasgow airport.

Glenstriven lies in some of the most attractive and accessible wild country in Scotland. It is on the west side of the unspoilt Cowal Peninsula, an area combining lochs, glens, sea, mountains and forests. Despite its remote feel, Glasgow International Airport lies just over an hour's drive away, making it an easy trip for a weekend, or even a day, from other parts of the country.

Innellan (10 miles) has a general store, post office, and two pubs. The seaside town of Dunoon lies approximately 14 miles on the east side of the Peninsula and provides two ferry links across the Clyde to Gourock. Dunoon offers a range of shops and services, whilst Glasgow has all the shops, facilities and services expected of a major city.

The area provides an excellent base for exploring Argyll. There is spectacular hill walking, climbing and mountaineering and, for the country sportsman, the dramatic Cowal scenery is also host to some of the most exciting deer stalking in Scotland. Numerous lochs and rivers throughout the county provide both salmon and trout fishing and the West Coast is famous for its exciting sailing and varied coastline. Toward is a popular anchorage for yachts and also has an active small boat sailing club. Nearby golf courses include Dunoon (18 holes) and Innellan (9 holes). Further afield are the renowned courses of Loch Lomond, Troon, Turnberry, Western Gailes, and Prestwick, with a host of other magnificent inland but mainly links courses.
