Full description

Tenure: Leasehold

Buckland Hall was built in 1927 for the village and subsequently run as a hotel for many years before being converted in the early 1990's to six individual homes.

Number 2 is arranged over two floors and has well lit rooms with pleasant outlooks over fields, woodland and the Halls own grounds.

It has a modern finish with wood floors, open-plan living room and kitchen-diner, double glazed windows and liquid propane gas fired heating.

There are delightful communal grounds and the nearby modern timber-built building, currently arranged as a workshop/studio and loft room, is a great additional outbuilding space to complement the apartment.

Buckland Hall nestles in sheltered grounds surrounded by moorland forest reaching down to the valley of the River Dart. The walking country to be found on the doorstep is truly outstanding, with the open moor at nearby Buckland Beacon just five minutes away, and the picturesque river Dart a delightful twenty minute walk via the woodland carriage tracks.

Buckland-in-the-Moor is a small moorland village known for its picturesque cottages, fine towered church and the ten commandments stones on the Beacon. The town of Ashburton lies a little over two miles to the south and has an excellent range of interesting shops and amenities, and is where the A38 can be accessed for Exeter, Totnes and Plymouth.

From our offices in the centre of Ashburton, proceed along North Street and turn left over the bridge, signposted Buckland-in-the-Moor, into Headborough Road. Stay on this road for two miles until you reach the village sign for Buckland-in-theMoor and take the first drive on the left after the sign (about 50 yards) and drop down the drive to Buckland Hall, with parking on the right.
