This property does need work, but might still attract a mortgage. The old outbuilding to the rear almost needs to be rebuilt. The extension at the rear of the cottage would seem to have movement in its foundations as indicated by the engineers telltale. The river Tone is tidal and under extreme conditions if the drainage ditch to the rear is not pumped (it has an automatic one) then the downstairs bathroom may get damp and the private drains will brim-so leave the power on and consider improving the septic tank to a more modern drains system
