5 bedroom detached house for saleAllington Road, Newick, Lewes, East Sussex
Offers in Excess of £1,100,000
This split-level property built in the 1980's offers over 6,800 sq.ft of floor space but is now in need of significant renovation. The accommodation is flexible and would lend itself to the creation of an annex. Outside there is three bay carport, extensive parking, 7 stables, 2 stores and a yard area, all in a tucked away semi-rural location.
Property ref: 121_564_4021050
A highly individual detached residence, believed to date from the mid-1980s, with significant subsequent extensions to add a triple carport and indoor swimming pool complex. The split level accommodation of 6,834 sq.ft. is very flexible and lends itself to many different permutations to cope with changing family needs, including having potential to create an annex at one end.
As currently arranged there are five double bedrooms, five bathrooms (three en suite) and six reception areas but several rooms could be used for different purposes.
Unfortunately the property has been seriously neglected for some time and is now in need of significant refurbishment. Properties of this size and in this sort of location are very rare so the renovation project will be worthwhile and a fantastic individual home created again.
The indoor pool complex has in the past been used for providing swimming lessons to local people so it has more toilets, showers ...
The village of Newick straddles the A272 about 7 miles to the east of Haywards Heath and 5 miles to the west of Uckfield. The County Town of Lewes is about 7 miles to the south.
This popular village has a two general stores, pharmacy, butchers, chemists, bakery, Post Office, hairdressers, beauty parlour, three public houses, restaurants, garage, health centre and a primary school. Secondary schools are available in the surrounding towns plus the village of Ringmer and there are a host of private schools in the area. Similarly each surrounding town has a rail station, with Haywards Heath being the most popular due to its journey time to London Victoria from only 43 minutes and the greater frequency of trains.
There are a number of golf courses in the area and just to the north is the circa 6500 acres of the Ashdown Forest, the largest free public access open space in the south east and an excellent place for walking, cycling and riding (by permit)....

From Haywards Heath the turning into Allington Road is on the right just after the Newick village name sign.
