Full description

Clashgalloch is a detached single storey cottage which will have its origins dating from circa late 1800's and extended in more recent times. The cottage is in a wonderfully scenic position within the Stinchar Valley and forming part of the Southern Uplands. The cottage is situated on a quiet country road which connects through to the Nick of the Balloch and beyond to Loch Trool and Straiton.

The accommodation comprises: spacious living room with wood burning stove; sitting/dining room; kitchen with a range of base and wall mounted cabinets; utility space; toilet; bathroom comprising bath, wash hand basin and w.c. and 2 bedrooms.

Windows are mostly double glazed in either timber casements or uPVC. Heating is by way of electric storage heaters. The cottage would benefit from some general improvements but that said it offers great potential and affords possibilities to be further adapted .

There is an area of garden immediately surrounding the cottage and this is fashioned in such a way as to incorporate areas of grass and parking space and where there is ample space for a garage. There is further garden space below the cottage and across the road and this area is level, sheltered and planted with trees. Within this part of the garden there are old kennels which are formed by way of random stone under a pitched slate roof . There is also a greenhouse. From this part of the garden there is an attractive outlook across the River Stinchar.

This is a lovely corner of rural Ayrshire, an ideal locality for those looking for a change of lifestyle. Excellent scenery, clean air, no traffic congestion and good schools. Clashgalloch is an attractive cottage in a great setting and viewing is strongly recommended.

This corner of south west Ayrshire is renowned for its unspoilt scenery and mild climate, there are excellent golf courses at Girvan, Dailly, Turnberry, Stranraer and Portpatrick. There are good rivers for fishing, the most notable of which in the area is the River Stinchar. Galloway Forest Park and the National Trust's Culzean Castle and Park are within easy driving distance. Loch Trool is approximately 17.8 miles from the cottage and the pretty village of Straiton is about 12.7 miles. The property is approximately 10 miles from Girvan.
