The swimming pool and tennis court remain evident however are derelict. A small stream runs through the land from north to south and feeds a pond in the south east of the property.

Since the school closed the land has been left to regenerate into its natural state which can now be described as amenity woodland and rough grazing land.

The woodland is well established with a mixture of conifer and broadleaf trees.

There is a public footpath which crosses the land to the south of the property. The land is largely unfenced and where it is fenced there is a need to renew the fencing.

Access can be taken off the A286 approximately 100m north of Fernwood Bungalow and also at the very northern tip of the land off Fernden Lane next to the stream.
