Full description

Tenure: Freehold

Less than a minute’s walk from Broadstairs High Street is this modern detached three-bedroom family home, complete with a separate annex. The main house includes large open-plan lounge and dining areas with double doors to the terrace and a hatch through to the kitchen for ease of serving. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and the family bathroom and outside you will find an easy-to-manage and secluded rear garden with a terrace where you can enjoy a barbecue with family and friends as well as two garden sheds and a variety of mature shrubs and trees. There is a low-maintenance shingled frontage together with off-road parking for a couple of cars and the separate front door to the annex. This was originally the garage but has now been charmingly converted into a studio apartment with a beamed and vaulted ceiling and a separate shower room and lobby with storage cupboards. The annex includes a well-fitted kitchen area with a built-in hob and oven and it is accessed internally via the main kitchen. While this would be ideal for an elderly relative or adult family member it could also be used as an office or even for someone needing a separate space for their business such as a beautician, dog groomer, chiropractor or physiotherapist. The property is immediately available and is just waiting for a new family to put their own stamp on the house to really make it their own.

What the Owner says:

“We are so close to the High Street with all its individual shops, hairdressers, beauty salons, bars and restaurants as well as a couple of supermarkets but despite being so close to the centre of town the house is in a quiet and peaceful area. We had an elderly relative living with us and the annex was absolutely ideal while the secluded garden has been a lovely place to relax. It is only a gentle stroll down to the seafront either along the High Street or and you can wander through the attractive and adjacent Pierremont Park – a great place to give the dogs some exercise. While, for anyone who commutes for work, Broadstairs station is only a very short walk away.
Around Broadstairs there are three large sandy beaches including Stone Bay, Viking Bay and Louisa Bay that are wonderful for families and entertainment is available throughout the year with regular firework displays, concerts, model railway exhibitions at Crampton Tower and annual events such as the Dickens Festival, Folk Week, Gala Day and the Food Fair.”
