What really attracted them to the property was the fact that it was large enough for all the family to stay in total thirteen people, plus three dogs! and yet it was also relatively low maintenance, so on a whim they could lock up and travel either on holiday or to stay with family.

There is an easy flow from room to room, making it ideal for busy family life, and the large conservatory creates a nice connection between inside and out. The garden is very pretty, not overlooked and has been designed to be low maintenance. It is mainly paved with mature trees dotted here and there, and creates a lovely space in which to sit and enjoy a little peace and quiet. The village playing fields are also just a short stroll away, so theres a lot of outside space to be enjoyed by the whole family.

The heart of the home is definitely the very large kitchen/diner, which is triple aspect, which makes it wonderfully light and bright. Many stories were told and moments shared around the large farmhouse table that can seat the whole family. More often than not the dogs could be found curled up in front of the big Rayburn range which adds a warm homely touch to the kitchen.

Christmases spent in the house as a family have been particularly memorable. We would all walk up to the church for midnight mass, where after we would head home to spend time around the open fire in the lounge while kids eagerly awaited Santas arrival. Victoria House is a real family home and one that is full of many very happy memories.
