A quintessential English Grade II listed country house, set in lovely gardens and grounds overlooking parkland, in all about 6.30 acres.

Coton Hall stands in an elevated position. It is surrounded by well-established formal gardens, with terraces abutting the house to the east and south. There are splendid views over open parkland, woods and a lake, and beyond, over rolling Shropshire countryside. Access to all major towns and cities can be gained via the A442, M54, M6 and M5 motorway networks.
There are rail links at Kidderminster, Wolverhampton and Telford. Excellent shopping facilities are provided in Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth and Worcester.

Coton Hall is a fine example of an early 19th Century building of considerable internal and external elegance with far-reaching views; possibly some of the prettiest in England.

Constructed in mellowed sawn grey stone with a slate roof, the property offers excellent family accommodation. Particularly notable are the wellproportioned reception rooms, with their high ceilings and decorative architectural detail. An additional wing
with Italianate turret was added in the Victorian era. This blends admirably with the Georgian part of the house.

The property enjoys wonderful views from every room. Elegant sash windows provide excellent natural light to the majority of rooms. There are many good examples of plasterwork and fireplaces, panelled doors and corniced and decorated ceilings.

The floors of the halls, reception rooms, the main staircase and landing are of polished oak. Most rooms throughout the property have internal shutters. The house is situated in just over 6.3 acres. The tranquil surroundings feature the romantic ruins of
Coton Chapel, mature formal gardens, with beautiful specimen trees, walled garden and outdoor swimming pool. There are also outbuildings, garage and open bay garaging.

Coton Hall is best approached from the A442.

From Bridgnorth, which is approx. 6 miles to the north, pass
through the village of Quatt, and turn left at the next turning
(c. 1 mile), signposted 'Coton'.

The lane rises uphill, and passes a pair of semidetached cottages
on the left. Shortly after, the lane forks: take the right hand
fork, signposted 'Coton'. The lane then makes a 90 degree
bend to the left, with a house on the right hand corner, and
shortly after, a 90 degree bend to the right, with a house on
the left hand corner. Within 20 yards, enter the unpaved
driveway flanked by two stone gate posts with stone balls on the top. Continue straight down the drive until you see the house appearing on your left.

(To the left of the stone gate posts, brick pillars and a gate form
the entrance to a neighbouring property and do not give access
to Coton Hall.)

From Kidderminster, follow the A442 north towards Bridgnorth. The village of Alveley is to the left of the main road, and 'The Squirrel' public house is also on the left, past the turning to the village. Continue on the A442 for about one mile beyond Alveley, and look out for the right hand turn signposted
'Coton'. Then proceed as above.

The satnav postcode location takes you to Coppice Cottage,
which is on the left, about 300 yards past the entrance to Coton
Hall when approached from the A442.
